Everyday Computer Issues

Your computer doesn't switch on, this is often coursed by the plug or power leads not being plugged in properly. Plug all of them in & see if it works, if not then the power supply unit perhaps damaged or broken, see if installing another fixes the issue.

Your computer is making unusual noises, this normally means something inside your computer is going to fail & die, but sometimes this might be a wire resting on of your fans, take the side of the computer case & check any loose wires.

Your computer is walking slowly, there plenty of reasons that could be to blame for this. The main reason is viruses & adware; these can generate plenty of issues for any computer & will cause your computer to run slower than before. Other reasons can be failing part, this is not normally the case though, & you can try to put in some more memory & also defragging your hard drive to see if there is any increase in speed.

Your monitor screen is fuzzy, make positive the connection to the video card to the monitor is connected correctly if the issue is still present then make positive you don't have any speakers or anything that is magnetized as this can destroy the monitor.

There is a buzzing sound coming from your speakers, again like the monitor make positive the connections are fitted correctly if the buzzing continues then there perhaps a issue with the grounding on the sister board, try connecting a ground point on the motherboard to the case & see if the buzzing stops, if not the speakers could be damaged.

You are walking windows XP & your USB mouse & keyboard are not working, this is because Windows XP is old now & you must put in the drivers for most devices that use USB connect, this is not the case with the newer operating systems. If after you have install the drivers & the mouse and/or keyboard still are not working make positive the USB controller drivers for the motherboard are installed, & see in case you can check the mouse or keyboard on another computer to make positive they are working.

You cannot connect to the net, they are plenty of reasons this might be because the modem your connection to is not connected correctly but if your connected wirelessly to a router then make positive your connection details are correct like the right password for wireless key. Also with most modern routers you can see if the router it is self is connected to the net by the connections settings option.

Your hard drive is making a ticking noise, this is normally the sign that it is prepared to fail or die, so backup all the knowledge from it to be safe that all of your knowledge doesn't die with it. Some older hard drives sound like this but the new ones of today don't make that much noise at all.

Your computer keeps restarting it is self or crashing, they are plenty of reasons for this but the most common is overheating. If your computer or laptop computer is in a closed space or has plenty of parts inside it they is a high chance that it will over heat, they are plenty of ways to keep away from overheating, the main is to put in additional fans inside your computer case, & the main way for a laptop computer is to place the laptop computer on a flat surface or receive a laptop computer base that has fans in it to go underneath.
