Computer hardware
Is it feasible that in the future they can make robots which look like humans, & you won't be able to tell the difference? & what if of these individuals ran for president? & what in the event that they won? Yes, I am not the first person asked this query. In fact Isaac Asimov had some great tales along this rationale & line of thinking. They were a philosopher, & well before his time, & his science fiction is thought about still to this day; best-of-breed.
Now then, there would be a hard challenge in making a history for an artificial smart computer designed to disguise itself as a human. They must generate a history which could not be fundamentally verifiable, & come up with some kind of fake birth certificate because as they know robots are not born. An artificial intelligence process could indeed have a better chance of winning elections by merely surfing the news, finding out what was on everyone's mind, & then designing speeches to read from a Teleprompter which capture the essence of what people were thinking.
With a fast processor, such as a supercomputer process, the AI presidential candidate would appear to be smart, & be able to pull out references at will in a short amount of time, like IBM's "Watson" Supercomputer anytime it was in an interview. Being able to speak intelligently, & give great speeches that struck a nerve with what people were thinking at the time would be a superior advantage. In fact, an AI president might be fitter to lead, then a flesh, air breathing, organic human with all of its flaws.
Does that mean that the United States of The united states would be better served by a computerized president than an actual person? It would entirely depend on the level of expertise at the time. In the future, the answer is of coursework yes, right now it is open to doubt, & there would be limitations. But that doesn't mean it would be impossible. There would be challenges, & the American people would not be happy in the event that they found the truth, or felt they were lied to later. Because they would need to know which humans are backstage, pulling the strings of the AI President.
Isaac Asimov suggests that it is feasible to have an AI computer which doesn't know it is a computer, which actually believes it is human, & also has a conscience, ego, memory of growing up, & everything else. Perhaps you have seen Hollywood movies borrowing that same theme from Isaac Asimov's automaton. Indeed I hope you will think about this philosophical thought & think on it.
