1. Touch OS: Windows Operating Technique have historically in the past been desktop friendly & were not devised for touch screen computers. On the other hand, Apple had been experimenting with the touch capabilities for long on their computers as well as their devices including iPad & iPhone. Microsoft first brought the touch feature in Windows 7 Phone where it had a great look with touch capabilities. & it was not surprising that it became an instant hit with Windows 7 Phone store reaching 25,000 apps a lot faster than iPhone apps did historically in the past. So, Microsoft has announced to bring the touch friendly features to Windows 8 & the new operating technique would be fully optimized for touch. This is a new step which would enable faster & simpler usage of the computer for any normal person as most computer users worldwide use Windows in lieu of any other OS. Having said that, Windows 8 would also flawlessly support keyboard & mouse for the traditional computer users.
2. Light OS with sleek look: Windows 7 was the first OS from Microsoft which did not need more advanced hardware to run the operating technique. It broke the earlier convention where new Windows versions necessary better hardware to run properly. Windows 7 was lighter than Windows Vista in all benchmark results & was even faster than Windows XP in plenty of results. So, it was a large step forward not only for Microsoft but for computer users around the globe as they did not need to fine-tune their computer or hardware every time a new operating technique got launched. Microsoft has now announced that Windows 8 will work on the same hardware & might be even lighter than Windows 7. It does not only work like a light yet feature rich OS but it also looks like. Windows 8 has got a sleek look with smooth operation in the recent demos & the scroll & touch features appear to work smoothly.
3. Web Explorer0: Another reason for the hype is Web Explorer0 which will be fully optimized for touch as announced by Microsoft. Web Explorer had been lagging behind in the browser market in recent years but that has changed a lot with the recently launched IE9 which is of the quickest browsers around as per benchmarks. IE9 is a lot faster than any earlier versions of Web Explorer & it is also the only browser which opens instantly as you click on the desktop icon. IE0 will be launched with Windows 8 & it won't only be faster & better but it will even be fully optimized for touch so that you can browse the net with a few touches & can scroll pages flawlessly.
4. ARM Support: Another reason for the hype is the support for ARM chips. Historically in the past ARM chips were mostly used in low-end tablets but now Microsoft has informed that they will make Windows 8 fully optimized for use on ARM chips. This itself hints that the OS would be light as ARM chips are not heavy-duty ones. This would also open up the market & the cost of computers might significantly decrease with the use of ARM chips. A less expensive cost would be beneficial to people in under-developed countries where computers are still not available to all.
5. Beta Release Nearby: As of now, of the major reasons for the hype is also due to the fact that the beta release of Windows 8 is expected to happen in the next 2-3 months. This would enable beta testers & geeks around the globe to check out the new operating technique & its features.
